    This recent body of work, from the series looming, explores the use of organic matter as a way of referencing the body on a cellular level. These images present microscopic views that are doubled and tripled, spreading, at times obliterating and suffocating– they appear magnified, imminent. The titles in this series reference optical phenomena and points to the lens and the formation of a sharp image without aberrations. The prints themselves are photo-silkscreens produced from enlarged digital positives and negatives printed onto velvet paper with charcoal.
